Edmond New Homes | the Final Steps in the Building Process
Edmond New Homes wants you to be informed and educated about the process so that you can make the best decisions for your family needs. If you ever have a question or don’t understand any step, will be here to help you all the way through it. Our experience design experts will help you understand the selections of materials available for your new home, and help you discover the pallet that reflects your personality and taste. When you publish our homes, your own personal builder will meet with you to explain our building procedures and provide you with the construction schedule. We build quality.
As we, Edmond New Homes, go through the build of the home from groundbreaking to closing, you will receive weekly updates from your construction manager. This will include the progress on the home completion with pictures and other information. During the building process of the home, the construction site is open for you to visit at your leisure. When you’re home reaches 100% completion, we will schedule your homeowner orientation meeting. This is where you get a room by room walk-through of your home with our quality control manager where he will help you understand how everything in your new home works. You will learn how to ignite pilot lights, use the appliances and mechanic aspects as well as do a quality assurance walk-through.
Edmond New Homes will notify you of your closing date approximately 30 days prior to your closing by email. This email includes a closing letter with helper information and instructions. This letter will have contact information for the different utility companies you will need to contact in order to get service turned on in your name. You will have your closing at the title company office and all paperwork from Shaw homes already be there when you arrive at your closing. An agent of the title company will walk you through the paperwork and give you the keys when all the signatures are completed.
Once the closing has occurred, you will begin your warranty. And have direct access to our warranty department. You can do this by filling out a warranty claim ticket on our website. In your home owners manual, there are emergency phone numbers if you need answers or held during nonbusiness hours. We have our own in-house warranty coordinator and were to text to help assist you as you break in your new home. We have experienced experts in place to guide you and answer the questions we arty know you will have. In fact, we probably can arty tell you what questions you’re going to have before you ask them

At Edmond New Homes, you will have your own personal design consultant to help walk you through the process of picking out the colors and finishes in your home. He will be a very good hands, as our design staff have been and intimately involved in the selection of the colors you see in our award-winning model homes. Shaw homes has the most well appointed design studios in the Tulsa and Oklahoma City area, filled with everything you will need to be your one-stop shop for visualizing and selecting your color pallets all in one location without the hassle driving to 20 different warehouses all over town. When you are finished using your colors, we will finalize the selections with your signature as approval and then launch into the building phase of your home.
Within three days after your execution of your purchase agreement, you should schedule an appointment with our design consultant to finalize your selections for your new home. Disappointment should take place within two weeks from the signing of the purchase agreement. A timely selection process allows us to prepare the necessary purchase orders to start the building process as fast as possible. Once all selections have been made, we will schedule a plan of you with your construction manager to review all the details.
