Now let’s introduce you to the man that started it all, and even us at Edmond Home Builders. Glenn Shaw. Glenn grew up in construction family. Between his dad and uncle, he spent a good number of his early years on construction sites being mentored by his family in Greenville, South Carolina. At 18, he moved to Tulsa to get his MBA at Oral Roberts University he then married and started raising a family and Oklahoma quickly became his home. Glenn has built over 2000 homes in over 50 communities all across the state since he started Shaw homes. He is still very involved in every aspect even today, as homebuilding is his lifelong passion.
Joe Antis is the Executive Vice President here at Edmond Home Builders. Joe fell in love with the home building industry as a child and has all the passion his entire career. After graduating from the University of Michigan with his degree in architecture, he chose to pursue the hands-on side of building for a number of years, learning several of the traits of becoming a journeyman carpenter. Since 2006, he has been in management with a focus on the business side of homebuilding. Joe was hired by Glenn in 2015 to help him run Shaw homes and grow it into one of Oklahoma’s largest homebuilding companies. This is where we take a step back and look at everything we do. Everything! Every single step of the process is inspected for good and bad aspects. Our expectations of everybody for each step of the building process is examined to ensure a mutual understanding
Now let’s talk about her director of sales, Aaron Antis. Aaron started his career in homebuilding in 2002 when he was mentored by the VP of sales for the largest homebuilder in the United States. He has worked in almost every aspect of new home construction for framing to finish. He studied architecture at Eastern Michigan University and has worked in commercial architecture as a rendering artist. He has managed the sale of over $1 billion in real estate in his career and has trained hundreds of new home sales professionals.

In 1985, Shaw homes was formed and ultimately Edmond Home Builders as well. We were made with the intent to build quality new homes for all of Oklahoma. With over 30+ years under our belt now, we have become the largest builder in the state. We are responsible for building thousands of homes and are currently building in more than eight cities. In our mission to keep our clients informed, Edmond Home Builders created and implemented a system that keeps each buyer up to date on the status of the project, and what to expect over the next seven days. There are a lot of miles on to the building of a new home. And I mean something entirely different to the buyer than it does to the builder. When the roof goes on, we know where close to closing it up and drying everything out. Just another stage of construction. Our customers feel like they are seeing their home for the first time, and not something special.
Creating an environment of information sharing and communication and a construction enterprise is complicated as new home construction is difficult to say the least. An average new home jobs I can experience the labors of over 200 people. Dirt gets moved by somebody. Architecture, surveying, pest treatment, sand,, concrete, post-tension foundation, and more are involved just to get the homes of nation created! This is where we take a step back and look at everything we do. Everything! Every single step of the process is inspected for good and bad aspects. Our expectations of everybody for each step of the building process is examined to ensure a mutual understanding.
