About Oklahoma City

Shaw Homes is happy to announce it’s now building new homes in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma!  One of our most recent new home communities to be added to our map is Twin Silos, located in Oklahoma City. Coming from downtown Oklahoma City, the drive to this new construction community is only 26 minutes. To get there, take I-44 E/OK-3 W, Continue on OK-3 W, Continue onto OK-74 N, turn left onto NW 150th Street and continue for 4 miles, pass Council Rd. and Twin Silos will be on the right. Enter the community by turning north on Clubhouse Drive. Take the first left onto NW 151st Terrace, and the Shaw Homes model home will be on the right corner.

To be building new homes in Oklahoma City is something Shaw Homes is happy to be doing. To be building in a community as well located as Twin Silos is even better. Consisting of 159.78 acres of land, Twin Silos consists of 528 home sites in the preliminary design with all phases added together. Future access to the later phases will be from Council Road, making this very large community easy to access regardless of which phase you decide to build in.

Part of being the right new home builder for you is being prepared. Shaw Homes has a selection of home sites to choose from. As each home site has it’s own size and details, Shaw Homes has 79 home plans that we build. Taking in the facts of a home site is one step, while another step is determining which homes will work on that particular site. Some of our customers choose the home plan first, others choose the home site first and select a plan second. It all comes down to what’s most important to you!

If you are considering having a home built in Twin Silos, there are 8 different home plans to choose from, starting at 1,758 square feet up to 2,360 square feet.   The community is a sidewalk community, allowing for safe and comfortable walks as well as a safe place for children to be able to play.

For our model home in Twin Silos, we chose our Jasmine plan, located at 8201 NW 151st Terrace. Based on a Craftsman flavored style with emphasis on “style”, the Jasmine is a 4 bedroom home with an option to be a 3 bedroom with a Flex Room (the 4th bedroom loses the closet and gains the additional usable space. This home was designed with a unique island placement that creates a large Breakfast Nook/Dining area as well as an improved Kitchen flow with the Large Great Room. The 12’ cathedral ceiling of the Great Room helps create a friendly space. The home includes a spacious Master suite design with a Sitting Area and built-in bookshelves, as well as the highly sought after connection from your large walk-in closet to the Laundry Room.  With storage space always being in high demand, this homes includes: Over 600 cubic feet of extra garage storage space is your dream come true, as well as a 4’ built-in mud bench + shelf coming in from the Garage. A lot of well thought out details went into the creation of this floor plan with over 30 years of customer input to draw from.
