About Piedmont

Shaw Homes is happy to announce it’s now building new homes in Piedmont Oklahoma!  One of our most recent new home communities to be added to our map is Timber Ridge, located in the city of Piedmont, just off the Northwest Expressway straight out of Oklahoma City.  Consisting of 79.2 acres of land, Timber Ridge boasts 68 home sites, most of which are 1 acre of land, with the largest being 1.57 acres.  Not all new home communities in Piedmont can say they have a beautiful pool and clubhouse, but Timber Ridge gets to brag about theirs.  A beautiful curved pond like pool bordered by plenty of space for enjoying nice weather outside.  The clubhouse is XXX square feet and includes XXX, with both covered patio space and pergola.

The Minimum square footage for a single story home is 2,400 sq. ft. For a 2 story home, the main level must be at least 1,800 sq. ft. Minimum of 3 car side-entry garage. Outbuildings are allowed, and must be 75% or more brick exterior, and range between 500 and 2,000 square feet. Required sewer is Aerobic treatment systems. No above-ground pools allowed.

For our model home in Timber Ridge, we chose our incredible Hampton plan. A Triple Suite Ranch, boasting three bedrooms, each with their own private bathroom and walk-in-closet, plus a Powder Room for convenience and guests. The Front Bedroom has a private covered front porch, and when you factor in the private bath, this makes a perfect in-law/guest suite! All ceilings are at least 9’, with rich wood beams across the ceilings of the Kitchen and Nook, peaking at 15’ to create a friendly open space. Kitchen boasts a hidden walk-in pantry. The Great Room presents beautifully with a center-wall fireplace and built-in floor to ceiling shelves and cabinetry. The Master Suite is finely designed and includes a beautiful spacious bath, with split vanities and an oversized shower, free standing tub, water closet and linen storage. Moving thru the Master Bath, the wall opposite the Master Bedroom has a door that leads to the large Master closet with 11’ ceiling and built-in Dresser and Mirror bench. A pocket door then leads to the Laundry Room, which includes a sink and plenty of upper and lower storage space. Another door exits the Laundry and opens to the Utility Room and Drop zone, and the door leading to the Garage.  This “Dream Loop” enables the Master Suite occupants the ability to come in from the garage, dirty from working in the yard, disrobe in the Master Closet and immediately place soiled clothing in the Laundry machines, enter the bath to clean up and dress, then thru the Master into the Kitchen/Great Room. Visitors of this home often comment on the flow from space to space. The 32’ x 10’ covered patio is fantastic for enjoying time outside. The 3 car garage has abundant storage space thanks to the fact that the 2 car portion is 34’ deep!  This is a home that’s full of features designed to provide comfort inside and out.

If you desire is to build a new home in an area that’s quiet and away from everything but still near so much, Timber Ridge Estates is a community you want to check out. The homesites are large and the homes are beautiful.  The 2010 census had the population of Piedmont at 5,720, up 56.7 percent from the 2000 census, showing it’s a growing community a short drive from the big city. With a little humor and certainly showing it’s still got the small town feel, on 3/20/2020, the Piedmond website ( posted “Garbage truck is down, please leave your trash out. George will pick up what he can and get the rest tomorrow!”  It’s a small town just outside of a huge town, and at night, when it’s dark, there are thousands of strange lights in the sky.  It’s about a 15 minute drive straight down the Northwest Expressway, but that’s a good thing!
