What, what could I possibly be giving you as far as, uh, you, the listener or the builder, or maybe, um, you are a customer yourself looking to build a Shaw home? Now, what could I possibly be telling you about the fireplace? I mean, what is there to know? Well, there are lots of different styles of fireplaces in your home, um, that you can put in your home. We’ve got, um, brick, we’ve got stone, we’ve got even, uh, uh, wooden, um, what what’s called shaker legs style with, uh, tile back background. Um, there’s a hurt. There’s no hurt. There’s indoor fireplaces, there’s outdoor fireplaces. These things are things that you need to consider whenever you are building a home.

So, uh, first off, I like to talk about our model home to her. That is the best possible option for you to see the designs of our homes and get a, a real good feel of what it’s going to take or what your home is going to look like. What’s, what’s it going to take to build the home of your dreams is the question that you should be asking yourself, especially at these, um, at these model home tours and these model homes. We have so many different options. You know, it’s every single customer who walks in our door is different. Um, you know, some people complain well when they find out, oh, this or that, or whatever the case may be, may not be included in the base price, but that’s because not everybody wants or has your same taste. And the fireplace is no exception to that rule.

There is a, an endless amount of designs and features that your fireplace can have. We have gas fireplaces, we have, uh, vinted or non vented unvented fireplaces. We have wood-burning fireplaces. All of these things are choices that each individual person, um, needs to decide if that’s what they want, or if it’s not what they’re interested in. Um, it makes us no difference whatsoever. Uh, it’s all about you. You’re the one that’s you’re going to be living in that home. So, um, let’s start with brick. What comes included in our base price is brick. Well there’s no, uh, there’s no nothing to hide about us being transparent about, um, what is included in our homes. You’re going to be when you, when you build your home, it’s going to have brick on all four sides, um, unless you decide to change the front elevation. So that has more board and Batten, but you’re still going to have brick.

Um, so with that being said, the brick is already going to be here and that, that some people want their, um, fireplaces to match, you know, the exterior brick of their home. Some people don’t. So the brick is what comes included. If you wanted to do a painted brick, maybe you’re doing a painted brick on the exterior of your home, and you want to do a painted brick, uh, in your fireplace, on your fireplace. We can do that. We do that all the time. If you wanted to, um, do only stone, maybe, maybe the whole thing, even the hurt that sets it’s up front that would like be catching, um, wood that comes out or anything that’s hot, or as well as, uh, you know, you can use that to put decorations on or whatever the case may be. Um, your choice, if you want that or not, it does come included, but if you don’t want it, then you don’t have to have that.

Um, as far as stone, stone is a little bit more pricier than brick. So you will see a difference in price. If you choose to do the brick or the stone in lieu of the brick. And, um, this is the best part, is that above your mantle, if you want, we can do brick or stone that goes all the way up to your ceilings. I don’t care how tall your ceilings are in your home. We can take the brick or stone all the way up there, as well as that, the shaker leg panel that goes above the mantle. You choose to do that. And it’s really hard to probably imagine what this looks like without seeing pictures or going on the model home tour.
